Godsey Creamery - Bristol,Tn....

The Robert Godsey Dairy Farm was located about where Sunnybrook Subdivision now is on Volunteer Parkway. They purchased milk from dairies all over South Bristol. They owned The Holston Creamery in Bristol, Va. as well as The Cherokee Creamery in Kingsport, Tn., and the Welch Milk Company in Welch, W.Va. They sold out in 1945 to The Southern Maid Dairy Company which later became known as The Foremost Dairy Company .

The 1932-33 Directory shows a decline in dairies, with but the Darter, Lynch, and Holston Creamery dairies listed. And, Robert Godsey is added ...with the same address as Holston Creamery.

There are two milk bottles known that I have yet to find dates for:

Weaver Dairy/Bristol,Tenn. (Weaver Dairy later became Gray's Dairy).
