After J. R. Dickey's death in 1923, his sons Herman S. and Ernest H. continued operation of the eye wash business into the late 1950s. This took place on the 2nd floor of the Front Street Dickey building, where they also operated their investment company. After urban renewal caused the building to be demolished , operations were removed to the Dickey Building on State St. corner  Morrison Blvd. The stainless steel tank & centrifuge used to mix the eye wash is still stored in the building along with J.R. Dickey's Addressograph and Graphotype equipment.
Ernest's childern, Eleanor and Ernest,Jr. often helped fill, seal, and package the eye wash for shipment.
